The South End of Palm Beach begins just south of the Estate Section at Sloans Curve and continues south for about three miles along South Ocean Boulevard. This three-mile stretch is lined with condominiums and a few co-ops on both sides of the road. The properties on the east side of the road are situated on the Atlantic Ocean and offer direct beach access, while those on the west side are situated on the Intracoastal waterway. Many of the apartments along this strip offer breathtaking water views due to the proximity of the properties to both bodies of water.
Just south of Sloans Curve is Phipps Ocean Park Tennis Center, which features six public tennis courts. Across the road from the tennis center is Ibis Isle, a small island on the Intracoastal waterway that is home to a charming mix of private homes and low-rise condominiums. The South End is also home to the Town’s Oceanfront Par 3 golf course, which is next door to Al Fresco Restaurant and Pizzeria – a lovely venue for casual dining on the oceanside patio.
One and a half miles further south on South Ocean Boulevard, approaching the end of this section of the Island, is the luxurious five-star Four Seasons Hotel and Resort. The South End offers a unique blend of stunning water views and easy access to a range of recreational activities, including golf, tennis, and casual dining. The properties along this strip offer a more relaxed atmosphere than the Estate Section, making it an attractive option for those seeking a more laid-back lifestyle in Palm Beach.
